The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

and yhh i dont know..   and again the thing bout the tools you use to create something.
it dont have to be the best and the most expensive! god dammit how do you think a fucking touch marker or a Mtn gold can is gonna make you a professional artist if you havnt sketched or painted anything yet? cmon!  if your good and got skill and so on you can youse any kind of fucking tools there is.
from watercolors to regular pencil and ballpointpen.
and yes touches or copics are good i agree on that but the point is that they dont make you good or so in any fucking way.

Btw, ive tried doing some stuff on the wall, like the cat, with the awesome montana 94 sprays, and at the same time a friend of mine that was 7 years younger than me did this really nice character, just using those cheap smelly cans he had. Well, his work was a lot better. So the quality does not matter if you have little skill

and i agree with the transition from the normal tools to the better ones, like in the comments here - using the good markers for the fills/outlines and what youre used to for the lines.

And the cheap stuff isnt always the worst one

agreed

a guy i talked with last summer bout my paintings and how i paint.
he trashed cheap cans and said that with belton i can do good stuff yadda yadda. and then i asked does he have pics of hes work. he showed me this real drippy deformed thing and before i said anything he started to make excuses and blamed the paint. then i said: you see that piece over there the one with 6 different colors and so on. and he says yea its really nice. well its done with the same cans u used for your piece. he was weird. he dissed my friends stuff and bunch of other shit
